Jan Rolla (Eur. Integration), LL.M. studied law at the Ruprecht Karls University of Heidelberg from 1992-1997 and completed his clerkship in part at the University for Administrative Sciences in Speyer and in the Prague office of Gaedertz Attorneys at Law. During his clerkship, he also worked at the Mannheim office of the Schilling Zutt & Anschütz law firm. Jan Rolla was awarded the title of an “LL.M. (Eur. Integration)” in 1999 as part of an advanced study programme “Common routes to Europe” at the Universities of Dresden and Prague with a paper on Czech corporate group law.Jan Rolla has been practicing law in Dresden since the year 2000. His legal work focuses on energy industry law, the laws on renewable energies and corporate law. He routinely advises public utility companies and mid-sized companies on issues concerning energy law.

Along with his lawyer activities, he is a managing partner of a mid-sized company in the food industry and brings his own business expertise with him. Jan Rolla speaks fluent English and since 2003 also serves as a lecturer on corporate law at the Dresden International University (DIU). He is a member of the advisory board of LAG “Energieregion im Lausitzer Seenland” e.V., Lauchhammer.
