Jan-Mathias Pfleging grew up in Pforzheim in Baden-Württemberg. Following his Abitur and work as a first responder for one year, he began to study Law at the University of Mannheim, which he completed by passing his first Staatsexamen in 2013.

He passed his clerkship in Rhineland-Palatinate, with focus on labour and administrative law. For example, he attended the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer for the so-called “Speyer semester”, and gained experience by working in the labour law team of a renowned medium-sized law firm in Frankfurt am Main.

Mr. Pfleging has been working in the Labour law division at Battke Grünberg since September 2016.
